People don't want to offend, discriminate against or hurt others; they don't know what they don't know and underestimate the power of bias & labels
Many who want to learn and understand often feel confused, apprehensive, or fearful of asking questions or saying something that will offend others
Trying to force change has caused some to dismiss, oppose or even attack DEI efforts, especially when those efforts are not authentic efforts to change
